Short Summary:
Ethos is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead and elevate design for its core business, focusing on the end-to-end customer journey from landing page to policy activation. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure user experiences are intuitive and aligned with business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design for the core conversion funnel, including landing experiences, application flows, underwriting, checkout, onboarding, and policy management.
- Mentor and grow a team of product designers.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Brand to deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Raise the design practice standards across design systems, accessibility, decision-making, and storytelling.
- Partner with adjacent design functions to create a consistent user journey.
- Foster an environment of excellence and growth for team members.
Requirement:
- 10+ years of product design (UX) experience, including leadership of multi-person design teams.
- Proven ability to design for complex user journeys in B2C industries like fintech, healthtech, or insurtech.
- Strong understanding of conversion optimization and behavior design principles.
- Experience in structuring complex information into actionable flows.
- Excellent communication skills for design rationale.
- A portfolio showcasing strong design and storytelling craft.
