Description
Assist the counselor with routine paperwork and programming initiatives in an effort to allow the counselor to maximize time and attention to the central matters of the counseling curriculum.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Serves as receptionist for counseling office
- Answer phones
- Greet students, parents, teacher walk-ins
- Supervise student assistants
- Process student requests to see assigned counselors
- Assist the 504 Coordinator
- Assist with uploading documentation to the student information management system
- Assists with all counseling department mail outs
- Help with processing new and withdrawn students
- Monitor and process volunteer hours and manage cord distribution
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by all Counselors
Qualifications:
- High School/GED
- Computer Skills -knowledge of Skyward system helpful
- Bilingual preferred but not required

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
