Short Summary:
The Director of Religious and Spiritual Life / University Chaplain will oversee programming and staffing for the University’s Religious and Spiritual Life ecosystem, supporting a diverse student population and promoting an inclusive campus community.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence on campus, engaging students and affinity groups.
- Serve as a resource for students seeking guidance in campus life.
- Support faith-based Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and their advisers.
- Hire and supervise Campus Affiliate Ministers.
- Design and oversee programming for spiritual development and interfaith dialogue.
- Assist in crisis management and recruitment efforts.
- Collaborate with campus partners for community gatherings and services.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget.
- Participate in community-building initiatives and events.
Requirement:
- Master’s degree in theology, religious studies, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in chaplaincy, ministry, or work with young adults.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Administrative experience with oversight of personnel and budgets.
