The HR Technology & Innovation department is the functional owner of ASML’s HR systems and is responsible for the global support and maintenance of Workday. This includes HCM Core, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Time & Absence, and Talent & Performance, as well as supporting capabilities such as Security, Integrations, and Extend.
We are looking for an experienced HR technology professional who is ready to take the next step: moving closer to global ownership, complex configuration challenges, and strategic HR technology impact. In this role, you will support in the Develop & Perform domain within the global HR Technology team, where hands-on configuration experience with Workday (or a comparable HR platform) is key. You will translate business needs into scalable system solutions, improve enablement of talent and performance processes, and work closely with global stakeholders and subject matter experts to create a strong employee experience. The role is located in Veldhoven.

Role and responsibilities
As HR Workday Technical Expert – Talent & Performance, you are part of the global Workday team and support the Talent team on topics related to talent, development, and performance within the HR technology landscape.
Support and advise the product owner and Talent stakeholders in identifying requirements and translating this into Workday solutions or process improvements.
Design, configure, test, validate, and deploy system changes, including functional setup, business rules, security considerations, release validation, and impact analysis across processes, integrations, reporting, and downstream systems.
Assess new releases and features to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the application landscape, including understanding and testing the impact of AI related solutions (within and outside of Workday) on our talent processes.
Assess, analyze and solve complex issues via tier 3 support tickets.
Collaborate cross-functionally within the HR Technology & Innovation team to assess and evaluate the impact of changes on downstream systems, business processes, and reporting.
Apply end-to-end process thinking and embed employee experience principles into system design and configuration.
Work from the Talent strategy and roadmap, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand current and future demand for talent processes such as performance, succession, skills and talent review.
Partner closely with other team members and local key users on knowledge transfer, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Talent & Performance domain, ideally combined with hands-on Workday experience.
