Short Summary:
The Solutions Engineer for Platform Experiences is responsible for designing, scoping, and implementing technical solutions that showcase platform capabilities and create unique monetization opportunities. This role involves collaboration with Product, Ad Ops, and Engineering teams to build custom solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement custom advertising experiences that highlight Roku's unique market position.
- Meet regularly with Product and Engineering teams to design and implement custom products within the ad tech stack.
- Collaborate with QA Engineering teams to create and maintain regression test cases for new and existing products.
- Test new and existing products and provide actionable feedback to Engineering.
- Troubleshoot product issues, identify root causes, and escalate to Engineering teams as needed.
- Write clear documentation and define detailed specifications for new products and features.
- Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Pioneer experimental features that expand Roku's value proposition beyond content delivery.
Requirement:
- 5–10 years of experience in AdTech or MarTech at a publisher, DSP, SSP, ad network, or agency.
- 1–3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Datadog, Tableau, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, or another database technology.
- Experience trafficking digital video and other ad formats, including VAST and VMAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a project-management orientation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
