Short Summary:
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to trade on outcomes across various domains. The Markets Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that supports live markets, and they are looking for an early-career backend engineer to join their automation team.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automation pipelines for market creation and lifecycle updates.
- Integrate sports APIs, news feeds, and other external data sources.
- Design pipelines for reliability and fast failure detection.
- Contribute to data-driven systems for accurate market resolution.
- Debug production failures with senior support.
- Review code and participate in design discussions.

Requirement:
- 1–4 years of professional backend engineering experience or strong internships with personal projects.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling inconsistent data.
- Evidence of shipping production jobs or running personal projects.
- Comfort with AI-native development tools.
- Ownership mindset and comfort on Linux with cloud tooling.
- (Plus) Personal projects on prediction market APIs.
- (Plus) Exposure to queues, streaming systems, or workflow engines.
- (Plus) Genuine interest in prediction markets, sports, or trading.
