Short Summary:
GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Backend Engineer to join the Platform Readiness team, focusing on building internal developer tooling capabilities to enhance platform readiness across various deployment targets. This role offers a growth opportunity to learn and contribute to high-impact projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain agentic workflow components on the Duo Agent Platform, contributing to the Core Agentic Workflow and the Requirements Agent.
- Write tests, documentation, and evaluations for agentic-workflow behavior.
- Contribute to the platform requirements knowledge base by adding requirements, evolving the schema, and improving validation tooling.
- Collaborate with platform teams to translate their expertise into structured requirements.
- Build integration surfaces for feature teams to engage with the Platform Readiness team.
- Write clear documentation and evaluations to validate agentic-workflow behavior.
Requirement:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with backend focus.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Golang.
- Comfort with schemas (YAML, JSON Schema) and structured content.
- Experience with Kubernetes and understanding of failure modes.
- Ability to work asynchronously and communicate clearly in writing.
- Exposure to LLM APIs, prompts, or agentic frameworks.
