Short Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering change within the Avaloq core banking platform to join our Change & Transformation function. You will lead end-to-end delivery of technology and business change initiatives across our Banking and Wealth Management divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Avaloq-related projects across Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Operations
- Own project governance, including project plans, RAID logs, budgets, resource allocation, and status reporting
- Manage the full project lifecycle for Avaloq implementations, upgrades, migrations, and parameterisation changes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA/testers, and Avaloq vendor consultants
- Act as the primary point of contact with Avaloq (vendor) project teams
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
- Drive delivery of regulatory and compliance-related change impacting the Avaloq platform
- Oversee UAT planning and execution, release management, and cutover/go-live activities
- Ensure robust change management and business readiness, including training and communication plans
- Provide clear, concise reporting to senior management, Programme Boards, and Steering Committees
Requirement:
- Proven experience (10+ years) as a Project Manager delivering change within Banking or Wealth Management
- Hands-on project delivery experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite
- Strong understanding of Wealth Management and Private Banking operations
- Demonstrable experience managing full project lifecycles, including budgets typically in the six-to-seven figure range
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators
- Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks affecting wealth and private banking
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Clarity)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent) preferred
