We're the subject matter expert on the accounting treatment of Grab's business activities, standardizing how new initiatives and product launches are accounted for (particularly on revenue recognition), so our numbers stay accurate and audit-ready as the business innovates. We're also a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the region, turning complex accounting concepts into clear, well-informed business decisions.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Regional Business Finance Manager for Grab's B2B portfolio (GrabAds, GrabForBusiness, and adjacent corporate client businesses), you'll combine technical accounting expertise with strong business partnering to keep our fast-growing segment audit-ready as it scales. You'll operate independently, helping build the scalable regional frameworks the B2B business runs on — equally at ease debating IFRS positions with auditors and translating them into plain-language guidance for product and commercial teams.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Partner early with product, operations, and commercial teams on upcoming initiatives — surfacing accounting implications before launch and advising on operational processes so downstream reporting stays clean and auditable.
• Determine and own the accounting treatment for new B2B product offerings and business initiatives in accordance with IFRS, resolving ambiguous positions together with technical accounting teams.
• Own the regional accounting framework for B2B products across SEA — driving consistent application across business verticals and countries, and correcting deviations in partnership with local controllers and FP&As.
• Identify and remediate historical misalignments in revenue or cost accounting in a controlled, auditable manner, and maintain written accounting positions to support audit readiness.
• Oversee the finance reporting process for the B2B business end-to-end, aligning with process, data, and systems owners on design and governance while execution is delegated to country finance or SSC teams.
• Act as the regional point of contact for group-level financial audit and SOX for the B2B portfolio — fielding auditor queries, guiding country teams through local audits, and flagging control risks from business changes ahead of audit scoping.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Technical Accounting & Controls – 4–6 years of experience in controllership, technical accounting, or audit, with deep expertise in IFRS and internal controls.
• Regional & Industry Expertise – Experience supporting multi-country operations and diverse business models, with exposure to digital platform, marketplace and advertising being advantageous.
• Stakeholder Management & Influence – Strong collaborator who can simplify complex accounting matters, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive alignment without direct authority.
• Commercial Judgment & Execution – Structured problem-solver who balances accounting rigour with business practicality, exercises sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and independently manages multiple priorities and workstreams.
