Manager, Dashboards & Reporting, Financial and Future Planning Responsible for management, analysis and reporting of conference production financial and future planning data, including expense templates, roll ups, growth projections, financial dashboard, calendar dashboard, and attendee heatmap dashboard. The successful candidate will also provide analysis and actionable reports to aid senior leadership decision making as well as future venue sourcing & capacity planning. Primary Responsibilities: Build, manage, and continuously improve 600+ complex and cross-linked templates, including multiple critical global roll-ups across excel and Power BI that are used for managing expenses across the entire conferences business Project manage budget timelines to ensure templates are replicated in line with key planning milestones tied to larger financial commitments, ensuring we are driving decisions to maximize conference contribution. Maintain and improve Conference Production Financial Dashboards, Global Conferences Calendar Dashboard, and Conferences Attendee Heatmap Dashboard in Power BI. Data aggregation and cleaning, power queries, data modelling, Power BI visualization design, programming in DAX, and mapping to Smartsheet. Construct Financial Projections models to include Scenario Analysis and Growth Curve Analysis. Investigate current best practices for predictive data modelling, using Python or other programming language. Design and build from start to finish complex analytic models and tools to support global team, utilizing advanced Excel and VBA modelling skills. Support global team, building conference planning tools from scratch, including problem solving the most effective solutions and training team as required, enabling production team to efficiently analyze large amounts of data & make crucial event planning decisions. Partner with stakeholders and other team members to identify data analytics requirements. Identify and implement most effective and efficient solution. Proactively identify opportunities to automate processes. Use advanced VBA programming, MS Power Automate to automate manual Excel processes to realize significant time savings and reduction in errors. Demonstrate the ability to rapidly evaluate, learn and implement modern automation technologies (Power Automate, Python, AI-enabled workflows in line with Gartner AI governance policies, Power Automate and SharePoint integration) to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and user experience. Ability to execute at the highest level in fast-paced environment with multiple and competing, high-impact priorities. Independently drive results from start to finish. Leverage quantitative background in business, finance, and technology. Establish and maintain data governance standards across budgeting, conference planning, and operational reporting systems. Implement controls, validation checks, and audit mechanisms to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business-critical data. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, process maps, solution architectures, and knowledge-transfer materials to ensure scalability, continuity, and adoption of analytical tools. Maintain and enhance SharePoint sites supporting conference operations, including site structure, permissions, data management, document libraries, workflows, and user support. Implement improvements that drive collaboration, information accessibility, process efficiency, and governance across the teams. What we’re looking for: Experience: 4+ years of progressive business experience, preferably in strategy, consulting, or business operations role. Qualifications: Being extremely process driven with strong project management skills are essential. Exceptional problem-solving capability: You have a proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story and drive change. Technical skills: You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, VBA development / debugging, Power BI. You can create and interpret complex Excel reports to track past, present, and future conference data and determine how to represent this in Power BI. Exposure to SQL, Python and Power Automate is strongly preferred. Detail oriented: You have a critical eye for details and can effectively analyze and summarize data. Fast-paced: You operate with a sense of “urgency” and can excel in an execution-focused environment. Drive / Self-sufficiency: You have a demonstrated ability to own a problem and aggressively drive from problem statement to solution in a self-sufficient capacity, even in a matrixed environment. Communication skills: You are an excellent and structured verbal and written communicator with effective presentation and platform skills.
