Short Summary:
Entrata is seeking a Director of Engineering for Payments to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for software engineering teams responsible for Entrata’s payments platform. This role involves establishing technical strategies and ensuring solutions meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of multiple integrated software engineering teams.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of software solutions.
- Establish operational objectives and strategic plans for the engineering department.
- Lead the architectural strategy for cloud-native environments using technologies like AWS and Node.js.
- Ensure platform architecture supports transaction processing and compliance with standards.
- Partner with various departments and external partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage departmental budget, strategic planning, and team performance.
- Establish and monitor key payment engineering metrics.
- Leverage GenAI tools to automate routine tasks while maintaining data governance.
Requirement:
- Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5 years in engineering leadership.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in payment processing or transaction-intensive financial systems.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise software architecture and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of payment processing, financial ledgers, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading teams using AI-powered development tools.
- Proven track record in managing budgets and recruiting technical teams.
- Exceptional negotiation and influence skills.
