Short Summary:
Zions is seeking an experienced International Banking Portfolio Manager (Spanish fluency required) to join our International Banking team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on managing and underwriting commercial credit relationships for companies engaged in international trade, ensuring sound risk management, credit quality, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of an assigned commercial loan portfolio.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums analyzing financial performance, industry and market risks, collateral support, guarantor strength, and loan structure to assess creditworthiness and support credit decisions.
- Monitor and administer the assigned loan portfolio, including loan maturities, delinquencies, collateral, financial reporting requirements, borrowing base compliance, covenant compliance, risk ratings, and portfolio reporting.
- Identify emerging risks and proactively manage deteriorating credit relationships, recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Stay informed of economic, industry, and market trends that could impact portfolio performance and credit quality.
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Compliance Officers, and management to support portfolio growth while maintaining strong credit quality and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding financial reporting, covenant compliance, loan servicing needs, and other portfolio-related matters.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial banking, credit underwriting, credit analysis, portfolio management, or a related financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, credit underwriting, risk assessment, loan documentation, and portfolio management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business productivity applications.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
