Job Title: Senior Advisor – Enterprise Solutions & Architecture, Intl

Location: UK/EMEA/APAC (flexible/remote; customer travel as required)
Reporting To: ES&A Manager – EMEA/APAC

Job Summary

The Senior Advisor is a business‑outcome–focused consulting leader within WWT Engineering Services. You will shape and win opportunities alongside the Principal Advisor and Sales, then ensure delivery excellence by guiding engineering and architecture teams to execute against clearly defined outcomes, scope, and success measures. The role blends presales leadership, solution design, delivery governance, and practice development to drive transformational results across technology and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

1) Presales & Solution Leadership

  • Lead customer discovery, outcome definition, and value hypothesis shaping; translate business drivers into feasible architectures, delivery approaches, and investment cases (TCO/ROI), working in lock‑step with the Principal Advisor.
  • Orchestrate solution strategy, estimates, risk and dependency analysis, and the creation of SoWs/proposals with clear scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria; ensure proposals balance customer value with delivery and commercial risk.
  • Facilitate workshops, PoVs/PoCs, and ATC‑enabled evaluations to evidence approach and de‑risk decisions prior to commitment.

2) Delivery Excellence & Governance

  • Provide day‑to‑day solution ownership during execution, ensuring fidelity to the sold intent and measurable outcomes; partner through the Two‑in‑the‑Box model with PMO for planning, RAID management, change control, and stakeholder comms.
  • Guide architects and engineers across discovery, design, build, transition, and operate phases; ensure methodical hand‑offs, quality, and standards adherence.
  • Maintain continuity from presales to delivery by supporting or deputising the Principal Advisor as needed to preserve context and reduce delivery risk.

3) Business‑Outcome Solutioning for Technology & Organisational Transformation

  • Shape target operating models, capability roadmaps, and transformation backlogs that span people, process, technology, and data; align solution increments and milestones to business KPIs.
  • Advise on change enablement (communications, training, adoption) to accelerate time‑to‑value and sustain outcomes beyond go‑live.

4) Practice Development & Reuse

  • Contribute to ES&A offerings, methods, templates, and accelerators; convert bespoke engagement work into reusable artefacts and collateral.
  • Mentor consultants, architects, and engineers; uplift presales discipline inside ES and raise delivery maturity through coaching and reviews.

5) Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, TD&E, PMO, Regional Management, and other delivery verticals to ensure coherent account strategies and smooth execution.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior customer stakeholders; present complex topics clearly, challenge constructively, and influence decisions at executive level.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven track record (typically 8–12+ years) in technology consulting/architecture and delivery leadership across enterprise programmes.
  • Strong presales experience: discovery facilitation, solution shaping, estimation, SoW/proposal authorship, and risk/commercial governance.
  • Demonstrated delivery governance in complex, multi‑workstream engagements; adept at RAID, change control, and quality assurance alongside PMO.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate between business and technical audiences and drive consensus.

Desired

  • Depth in one or more domains (e.g., cloud, networking, security, workplace, data/AI, platforms) with the breadth to integrate across the stack.
  • Familiarity with operating model design and organisational change methods.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, PMP/PRINCE2, cloud/provider credentials) are a plus.

Measures of Success

  • Presales impact: qualified pipeline influenced, win rate, proposal quality, estimate accuracy, time‑to‑proposal.
  • Delivery outcomes: on‑scope/on‑budget/on‑time engagement delivery, outcome attainment vs. success criteria, change request hygiene, risk burn‑down.
  • Customer value: CSAT/NPS, executive sponsorship strength, referenceability.
  • Practice health: reuse contributions, offering/accelerator uptake, mentoring and capability uplift across ES&A.

Working Model

  • Operate in close partnership with the Principal Advisor through presales and into delivery to maintain context and ensure outcome continuity; collaborate day‑to‑day with engineers and architects to govern scope, quality, and risks.
  • Engage across discovery, design, build, transition, and operate phases in line with ES delivery methodology and WWT standards.
