Short Summary:
Join the Office of Mental Health as a Mental Health Professional I - Addictions Counselor for the ACT program, dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families facing challenges in their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and track beneficiary's stages of change readiness.
- Ensure patients receive services aligned with their needs and treatment approaches.
- Facilitate access to community groups and provide direct services using cognitive behavioral approaches.
- Participate in clinical supervision and treatment team meetings.
- Complete documentation according to QA/SCDBHDD standards.
- Adhere to CARF standards and Office of Mental Health policies.
Requirement:
- Master's in counseling/social sciences required.
- Must be licensed as an Addiction Counselor in SC or Master Addiction Counselor or have ADC/ASPC certification.
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift 5 lbs.
- Community-based experience with children and adults.
