Short Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Engineer to support medium-to-high profile database projects, operational reporting, analytics, and run-the-bank initiatives within a large financial services environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide database analysis and design support across all SDLC environments.
- Support database projects, enhancements, problem tickets, work requests, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Design, implement, and support SQL Server 2019–2022 Always On configurations.
- Develop and support SSIS/SSISDB solutions for data integration and operational reporting.
- Partner with technology and business teams to address performance, security, compliance, stability, scalability, and delivery requirements.
- Support deployment and implementation of enterprise data architecture and data governance principles.
- Manage technical communications, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and maintain technical procedures, implementation documentation, and knowledge base materials.
- Collaborate with database analysts, architects, and business partners on enterprise data initiatives.
- Mentor and support team members on database technologies, processes, and best practices.
Requirement:
- 4+ years of Database Engineering experience or equivalent combination of education, training, military, or work experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong experience with SQL Server Always On.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), including SSISDB.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, performance, security, scalability, and high availability.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and data solutions within a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
