Short Summary:
Roku is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer, Ad Data Ingestion to join our Solutions Engineering team supporting Roku's advertising business. This role is the technical owner of the ingestion surface, including the Conversion API and Audience Upload API.
Responsibilities:
- Own client and partner integrations end to end for Conversion API, Audience API, and pixels, including technical discovery, implementation guidance, and configuration/validation.
- Troubleshoot and debug integration issues such as data loss, event mismatch, deduplication failures, and other data quality concerns.
- Scale partner integrations by leveraging existing products and turning repeatable integration patterns into self-service onboarding.
- Own technical documentation including implementation guides, event schemas, and best practices, and keep it up to date.
- Monitor ingestion health dashboards to catch regressions early and drive them to resolution.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to voice feedback from clients and partners, build optimizations on integration pathways, and act as technical point of contact for incidents.
Requirement:
- 5-10 years of experience in AdTech or MarTech at a publisher, DSP, SSP, ad network, or agency, preferably in a Solutions, Integrations, or Professional Services Engineering role.
- 1-3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Datadog, Tableau, or similar, including the ability to develop custom dashboards, looks, and views; hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, or another database technology.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of Conversion APIs and CAPI gateway patterns: server-side event ingestion, event deduplication, and event matching.
- Strong command of JS pixels and browser-based tracking, and how they behave across browsers and privacy constraints.
- Fluency with REST APIs, reading documentation, testing endpoints, and diagnosing payload/schema issues.
- A strong track record of providing technical support for external and internal stakeholders, particularly while overseeing complex integrations.
