Short Summary:
As the Team Leader, Engineering for Rowan, you will lead the engineering team behind Rocket Money’s personal finance assistant, focusing on AI as an execution layer. This role involves setting technical direction, partnering with functional leaders, and ensuring high-quality product experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and grow the Rowan engineering team.
- Partner with product leadership to translate strategy into engineering plans.
- Stay close to the full Rowan experience, including conversational interfaces and operational rails.
- Drive projects to conclusion by making decisions and clearing blockers.
- Build systems that make AI work dependable, including eval frameworks and recovery paths.
- Create a team environment for senior engineers to excel across various domains.
- Hold regular 1:1s and deliver performance reviews tailored to individual strengths.
- Stay curious about AI engineering and adopt new workflows and tools.

Requirement:
- Experience shipping production agentic software and leading engineering teams.
- Strong product judgment and ability to reason from customer need to technical architecture.
- Familiarity with LLM applications and agentic systems.
- High bar for quality and trust in personal finance applications.
- Ability to drive outcomes in ambiguity and create alignment across functions.
- Technical depth across backend services, product surfaces, and operational tooling.
