Short Summary:
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager, Observability to join Procore’s Platform Services / Cloud Platform Engineering department. In this role, you’ll shape the future of Procore’s global observability strategy by treating our 1,000+ internal developers as your customers.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Procore’s telemetry pipelines, developer tooling, and self-service monitoring frameworks.
- Act as the primary evangelist for our observability platform by conducting deep discovery, building tutorials, and showing engineering teams how to leverage telemetry.
- Reimagine how developers interact with telemetry by defining and building the infrastructure and workflows that allow AI-coding assistants to consume data and support self-healing systems.
- Lead the transition to vendor-neutral standards, ensuring observability via OpenTelemetry (OTel) is integrated into our core code repositories.
- Partner with engineering teams to consult on end-to-end journey monitoring.
- Define victory conditions and measurable KPIs for mission-critical services to optimize system health and performance.
Requirement:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience managing infrastructure, platform, or developer tools at SaaS scale.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep hands-on skills with modern monitoring stacks and familiarity with cloud-native technologies, specifically Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry (OTel).
- Strong platform thinking and ability to translate complex infrastructure requirements into structured platform specifications.
- AI-forward vision and understanding of how Agentic software development is changing the software development lifecycle.
