Short Summary:
Primer exists to make the world a safer place by providing trusted decision-ready AI to critical organizations. As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will own AI-driven products from prototype to production, working across a modern tech stack including large language models and agentic systems.

Responsibilities:
- Set both technical and product direction for LLM, agentic, and NLP systems.
- Design and build distributed systems for company-wide scale.
- Turn real-world data into trustworthy signals for agents.
- Package, deploy, and operate low-latency, high-concurrency inference.
- Build evaluation and labeled-data systems to guide work.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape the technical roadmap.
- Raise engineering standards with better practices.

Requirement:
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in building production backend software with ML functionality.
- Mastery of data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic systems, and proficiency in Python (Rust is a plus).
- High agency and a bias to action in fast-moving environments.
