Short Summary:
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to express views on real-world events. The Trust and Safety team ensures the integrity of the US exchange by identifying fraud and flagging AML-adjacent activity.
Responsibilities:
- Write SQL queries to investigate suspicious trading activity on the US exchange.
- Field ad hoc data requests from the Trust and Safety team and deliver clear, well-documented answers.
- Build and maintain monitoring dashboards that track fraud and AML signals.
- Identify patterns in bad actor behavior and translate them into detection logic improvements.
- Document investigation findings for non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with the T&S team to prioritize high-risk signals and reduce noise in alerting systems.
Requirement:
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, with a track record of delivering under ambiguity.
- Strong SQL skills; ability to write clean, efficient queries and debug work.
- Direct experience in fraud detection, AML investigation, or trust and safety analytics.
- Proven ability to scope and complete open-ended investigations independently.
- Experience building dashboards relied upon by operations or compliance teams.
- Clear communication skills to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- (Plus) Familiarity with crypto or prediction market data structures.
- (Plus) Experience writing detection logic or rules engines in a fraud or AML context.
- (Plus) Background working with compliance, legal, or operations teams in a regulated environment.
