Short Summary:
NVIDIA is searching for a senior or principal engineer specializing in robotics systems to join the Generalist Embodied Agent Research (GEAR) group, leading Project GR00T, focused on humanoid robots.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain teleoperation software for humanoid robots.
- Develop and optimize control stack, including locomotion and manipulation algorithms.
- Deploy and evaluate neural network models in physics simulation and on real hardware.
- Implement tools for robot maintenance and diagnostics.
- Monitor teleoperators and develop quality assurance workflows.
- Collaborate on model training, data processing, and MLOps lifecycle.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are helpful.
- 8+ years of industry experience in robotics hardware or software.
- Hands-on experience with neural network models on robotic hardware.
- Ability to implement real-time control algorithms and sensor fusion.
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, C++, and experience with ROS and physics simulation.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting robotic systems.
