Short Summary:
Motive empowers physical operations with tools for safety, productivity, and profitability. The Senior Commodity Manager will build supply strategies for key components, ensuring timely product delivery and cost efficiency while collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Set the strategy and bring people with you.
- Build and publish the sourcing strategy for cable, battery, PCB, and connector.
- Establish a Preferred Vendor List for Engineering.
- Run quarterly deep-dives on the supply base.
- Lead negotiations grounded in real numbers.
- Own supply assurance end to end.
- Partner with planning and operations to protect build schedules.
- Run QBRs with top-tier suppliers.
- Embed with design teams at the concept phase.
Requirement:
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing and supply chain management, focusing on board electricals for consumer electronics, automotive, or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and proven experience in contract management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
- Experience with global supplier management and working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
