Short Summary:
Guides customers through the room service process by phone and communicates with hospital staff regarding diet order information.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to explain diet order to patient or staff.
- Knowledge of specific nutrients in food.
- Understanding of dietary needs with modified diets.
- Understanding of culturally specific food choices.
- Ability to identify foods in relation to patient allergies.
- Ability to determine appropriate food choices for therapeutic diets.
Requirement:
- Six months customer service experience and six months office/computer experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation/persuasion skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to provide consistent outstanding customer service.
- Successful completion with a passing grade of 80% of the Diet Comprehension Training Program within four weeks.
