Senior Backend Developer (.NET, Azure)

Project description

Development of an Azure Developer Subscription Platform that enables authenticated users to request, approve, provision, monitor, and manage Azure developer subscriptions. The platform will integrate with Microsoft Entra ID and client’s existing Azure infrastructure provisioning pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs. Implement subscription request, validation, approval/rejection, and workflow-state management. Integrate with Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and authorization. Integrate with the existing Azure infrastructure provisioning pipeline. Implement asynchronous operation tracking using callbacks, events, or polling. Implement retries, idempotency, reconciliation, concurrency control, and error recovery. Implement subscription status, audit history, lifecycle, and deletion workflows. Develop persistence and data-access components. Implement operational notifications and failure handling. Contribute to solution architecture and technical decisions. Participate in code reviews, testing, security hardening, observability, and release activities. Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, UX/UI, and customer stakeholders.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience. Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core. Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and enterprise backend services. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT and role-based access control. Understanding of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, managed identities and Azure RBAC. Experience integrating backend services with CI/CD or infrastructure provisioning pipelines. Strong knowledge of asynchronous and distributed-system patterns: long-running operations; callbacks, events or polling; retry and timeout handling; idempotency; concurrency control; reconciliation and failure recovery. Experience with relational databases, preferably Azure SQL or PostgreSQL. Experience with secure configuration and secrets management. Experience with unit, integration and contract testing. Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills. Ability to make technical decisions independently and communicate them to customer stakeholders. Upper-intermediate or higher English.

Nice to have

Experience with Azure Landing Zones or subscription-vending solutions. Experience automating Azure subscription creation and governance. Knowledge of Azure Management Groups, Policy and enterprise RBAC models. Experience with Azure Cost Management APIs and FinOps concepts. Understanding of EA/MCA Azure billing structures. Experience integrating with Terraform, Bicep or other IaC pipelines. Experience implementing approval workflows or state-machine-based systems. Microsoft Azure certification.
