Short Summary:
IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. The Senior Site Acquisition and Development Manager supports the Head of Development North America in advancing IREN’s AI data center pipeline across the US, leading site selection and acquisition, due diligence, and permitting for data center projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical, environmental, grid, and permitting diligence processes for new site acquisitions and project transactions.
- Manage engineering, environmental, legal, and commercial advisors throughout diligence phases.
- Collaborate closely with internal project, engineering, and commercial teams to assess development risk and value creation potential.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date site and pipeline status to support the Head of Development North America's portfolio management, growth strategy, and capacity planning.
- Assist in transaction documentation, closeout, and transition to IREN's construction and delivery teams.
- Partner with and support Project Development Managers and Associates on active development sites, sharing diligence findings and best practices.
- Develop best-practice frameworks for project diligence, permitting tracking, and handover documentation.
Requirement:
- 7–10 years of experience in renewable-energy, data center, or infrastructure project development, engineering advisory, or related technical due diligence.
- Familiarity with site acquisition due diligence, project feasibility analysis, and risk assessment across land, power, and permitting workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills across internal technical teams, external consultants, and the broader Development team.
- Proficient in project planning tools and capable of managing multiple concurrent site diligence and transaction workstreams.
- Degree in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related discipline.
