iOS Lead Developer / Technical Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced iOS Lead Developer / Technical Lead to lead the development and delivery of complex native iOS applications and technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Swift and native iOS development, combined with strong technical leadership and application architecture expertise. This role will lead development teams, provide technical direction, troubleshoot complex production issues, and ensure successful delivery of high-priority business features.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working on complex implementations, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and collaborating closely with developers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and delivery of complex technical projects and application features.

• Lead and provide technical direction to teams of lead and senior developers.

• Oversee and coordinate coding activities across assigned projects.

• Design and implement scalable technical solutions to meet complex business requirements.

• Develop prototypes and evaluate alternative technical approaches when appropriate.

• Apply strong knowledge of application architecture and IT architecture principles.

• Establish technical goals, development approaches, and direction for the team.

• Break down complex features into actionable development stories and tasks.

• Plan technical work, identify dependencies, and perform impact analysis.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex code defects and production issues.

• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies and support team delivery objectives.

• Ensure assigned work meets coding standards, acceptance criteria, SDLC processes, and non-functional requirements.

• Collaborate with architecture teams on system and application design.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to less-experienced developers.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure committed objectives are successfully delivered.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies throughout the development lifecycle.

• Ensure assigned work is delivered on time and within established project expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of native iOS software development experience.

• 8+ years of experience with Swift.

• Strong hands-on experience developing native iOS applications.

• Strong knowledge of Xcode and the iOS development ecosystem.

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing technical solutions for complex business requirements.

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving code defects and production issues.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

• Strong understanding of application architecture and software architecture concepts.

• Demonstrated technical leadership experience on complex development projects.

• Experience leading or providing technical direction to software developers.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Experience with Git/GitLab and Jira.

The strongest candidates will demonstrate deep Swift/iOS expertise, strong application architecture knowledge, experience resolving production issues, and a proven ability to lead development teams through complex technical implementations.

Work Arrangement

This position requires a hybrid work arrangement with the candidate based at either the San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX location. Candidates may be considered from other locations but must be willing and able to work onsite as required.
