Short Summary:
ILOS is seeking an experienced Insurance & Risk Manager to lead insurance arrangements across the business and its growing renewable energy portfolio, focusing on business protection and project-related insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Own and coordinate ILOS’s business and project insurance portfolio across its European operations.
- Review policies and coverage to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities to strengthen protection.
- Lead the consolidation of the current broker structure into a single lead broker arrangement.
- Manage renewals, policy placement, administration, reporting, and claims support.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage for solar PV and BESS projects throughout development, construction, and operation.
- Maintain accurate records of policies, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and key renewal dates.
- Support insurance due diligence for project finance transactions.
- Provide insurance and risk input into project financing and wider risk assessments.
- Support the overall risk management of the company.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience as an infrastructure or energy insurance broker.
- In-depth knowledge of renewable energy insurance, particularly solar PV and battery energy storage systems.
- Proven experience conducting insurance due diligence for project finance transactions.
- Strong knowledge of project-specific risks, including fire-related exposures.
- Full working proficiency in English & German.
