Short Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer to join our Energy team and support customers with advanced monitoring and diagnostic solutions for high-voltage electrical assets. This role involves being the technical link between customers, sales, product management, and engineering, supporting the full customer journey from technical sales discussions to post-installation support.
Responsibilities:
- Support sales teams during customer meetings, proposal preparation, product demonstrations, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Help understand customer needs and translate them into suitable technical solutions.
- Support testing and monitoring for high-voltage assets such as transformers, switchgear, and cables.
- Plan and execute customer site visits, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of monitoring systems.
- Prepare technical reports based on field measurements and monitoring data.
- Deliver customer training on theory, measurement principles, and asset condition assessment.
- Contribute to application notes, technical documentation, and presentations.
Requirement:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Typically, 3–6+ years of experience in electrical systems, applications, testing, diagnostics, or a related technical field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate technical issues in field environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to build trust with customers.
- Willingness to travel internationally for customer visits, typically around 30% of the time.
