Short Summary:
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the k6 team, focusing on building and maintaining performance testing tools. This role is fully remote and requires applicants from the United States Eastern time zones only.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining the k6 codebase- Reviewing code and delivering production-quality code- Collaborating with other engineers on design, implementation, and code reviews- Working on features and improvements across the k6 codebase- Addressing problems that require understanding context and evaluating trade-offs- Potential involvement with the k6 cloud offering for distributed tests
Requirement:
- Strong experience in Go or another concurrency-focused programming language- Experience with long-lived codebases- Ability to work independently and deliver scoped problems- Clear technical communication skills- Understanding of internet protocols (HTTP, gRPC, WebSockets)- Familiarity with modern development practices (testing, code review, iterative development)
