Short Summary:
Grafana Labs is seeking a Director, Legal - Commercial (Americas) to lead complex, high-impact transactions and support the commercial legal team. This role combines people management with hands-on legal responsibilities, focusing on enterprise SaaS and strategic agreements.

Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy, negotiation, and execution of high-value commercial transactions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership on commercial strategy and legal risk.
- Manage and mentor attorneys on the Americas commercial legal team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex commercial issues.
- Develop and improve commercial agreement templates and legal processes.
- Evaluate AI-enabled legal technologies to enhance contracting efficiency.

Requirement:
- JD or equivalent U.S. law degree and active bar membership in good standing.
- 10+ years of commercial legal experience in the SaaS industry.
- Experience leading complex, high-value enterprise technology transactions.
- Exceptional judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Significant experience with data protection and privacy laws.
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
