Short Summary:
Forward is looking for an AI Engineer to build intelligent features that enhance enterprise networks. This role involves collaboration with a world-class engineering team and the opportunity to impact mission-critical systems used by Fortune 500 companies.
Responsibilities:
- Improve the quality of shipped agents through eval-driven iteration.
- Build new agent capabilities, tools, and surfaces on the Forward platform.
- Practice context engineering: retrieval, prompt and tool-result structure, and token-budget management.
- Engineer clear prompts, tool descriptions, and instructions.
- Define what “good” looks like for agents completing complex tasks.
- Partner with network domain experts to build and validate evals.
Requirement:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in the field.
- Experience shipping at least one real feature on top of LLMs.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
- Solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Comfortable in a large, unfamiliar codebase.
- Strong communicator and collaborator.
