Short Summary:
Foodsmart is seeking a Director of Data Platform to take end-to-end ownership of the data lifecycle, ensuring the reliability and performance of the data infrastructure that supports the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Architect the data foundation, managing pipeline orchestration and warehouse infrastructure.
- Instill a "Data-as-a-Product" philosophy, defining SLAs for data quality and accessibility.
- Establish proactive data observability and translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
- Mentor and scale a high-performing, distributed data engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data requirements into solutions.
- Direct data operations supporting revenue cycle management and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Foster an AI-first engineering culture and establish governance standards for AI applications.
Requirement:
- Over a decade of expertise in data engineering or platform domains, with at least 4 years in leadership roles.
- Mastery of modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and orchestration frameworks (Dagster or Airflow).
- Expert-level proficiency in dbt, dimensional modeling, and strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with HIPAA regulations and managing distributed engineering talent.
