Short Summary:
Fleetio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Growth Engineering squads, focusing on product-led growth and high-performing engineering teams. This role involves managing initiatives across the customer journey, emphasizing experimentation and customer value.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Growth 1 and Growth 2 engineering squads against a shared growth mission and roadmap.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Product, Design, Data, and Engineering Leadership.
- Optimize engineering execution by identifying dependencies and removing bottlenecks.
- Help teams run structured experimentation programs to improve key business metrics.
- Coach engineers on code quality, testing practices, and product-minded engineering.
- Manage approximately 7 direct reports, with potential growth to 8 engineers.
- Foster a high-performing engineering culture and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Recruit, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent.
Requirement:
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or technical people leader.
- Proven experience in product-led growth and experimentation.
- Familiarity with analytics and event-data tooling such as Snowflake, Segment, or Growthbooks.
- Experience managing SaaS web application engineering teams; Ruby on Rails and React experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of developing engineers.
