Short Summary:
The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for a Traveling Paint Specialist responsible for operating a mobile trailer performing solvent-based painting.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations.
- Ability to match and tint paint as needed.
- Monitor and maintain paint shop inventory.
- Keep mixing room clean and organized.
- Ability to wet sand and buff as needed.
- Ensuring that hand tools are properly maintained.
- Properly maintaining paint booth by replacing filters and cleaning when necessary.
- Administering the mix of colors and ensuring that they match with original color.
- Applying primers and repainting surfaces with the use of spray guns.
- Polishing the car by wet-sanding and buffing when the paint is dried.
- Ensuring that certain portions of the vehicle are masked with tape and paper to ensure that each part of the car is painted correctly when using multiple colors.
- Read, write and comprehend estimates and verbal directives from management.
Requirement:
- Painting experience with solvent-based systems required.
- Ability to mix/match paint.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum age 18.
