Short Summary:
Datadog is looking for a resourceful and creative Associate Field Marketing Manager to lead event strategy and execution for Datadog's AI product line across the East and Canada region. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about AI and developer communities, enjoys getting hands-on with technical audiences, and wants to build a market-leading brand presence for Datadog's AI offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Own the strategy, planning, and end-to-end execution of AI practitioner events, hands-on workshops, and meetups across the East and Canada
- Lead surround and off-site activations at major AI conferences to build brand visibility and drive engagement
- Partner with Product Marketing and AI/ML product teams to translate Datadog's AI observability and LLM monitoring capabilities into compelling event content
- Design and continuously improve hands-on workshop curriculum and live demos
- Build scalable, repeatable event playbooks and toolkits
- Manage vendors, venues, budgets, staffing, and on-site logistics
- Partner closely with Sales and Field Marketing to align event strategy with territory and pipeline priorities
- Track, measure, and report on pipeline influence, attendee engagement, and program ROI
- Cultivate and grow relationships with AI developer communities and local user groups
- Stay current on the AI/ML landscape and competitive events calendar
Requirement:
- 1-2 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or program management
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and machine learning
- Experience planning and running practitioner-focused events or hands-on workshops
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A collaborative, cross-functional operator
- Familiarity with marketing or sales tools is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
