Short Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable & Revenue Recognition Accountant to join our Global Order to Cash (OTC) team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Accounts Receivable function, supporting monthly financial close, revenue recognition activities, cash application, audit requests, and bad debt accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue Recognition: Monitors revenue, handles reconciliations, investigates discrepancies, and coordinates stakeholders for accuracy.
- Accounts Receivable & Cash Application: Performs daily cash application, resolves payment discrepancies, reconciles customer accounts, and collaborates on dispute resolution.
- Month-End Close: Conducts month-end Revenue and AR close activities, prepares balance sheet reconciliations, and ensures accurate reporting.
- Bad Debt & Accounting: Calculates bad debt provisions, monitors doubtful accounts, and supports customer credit risk reviews.
- Audit & Compliance: Prepares audit documentation, maintains internal controls, and assists with process documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities for OTC process improvements and participates in finance transformation projects.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Revenue Accounting, or General Accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close activities.
- Experience with Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15, ASC 606), ideally in a software company.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is required; French is a plus.
