Short Summary:
CoinDesk is seeking a high-performing business development and sales professional to manage and expand our Media & Events businesses with a specific focus on EMEA. This role involves managing and growing an existing client base, identifying and building new relationships, and becoming a leader in the region's crypto communities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive CoinDesk’s regional expansion.
- Manage and expand upon a predetermined list of clients with a customer service and solution-oriented approach.
- Actively seek out and generate new business and revenue opportunities.
- Represent all CoinDesk products: live events, digital media, video, podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership, and custom.
- Establish a strong network and reputation for long-term partnerships.
- Strive to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the Global Partnerships team and maintain data integrity in Salesforce.
- Gather sales intelligence and propose new products or enhancements.
- Travel as needed for client meetings and relevant conferences.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of media and/or events sales experience within crypto, global finance, and/or tech sectors.
- Deep knowledge and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
- Proven track record of driving brand and business objectives while managing relationships.
- Current and well-developed industry relationships across Europe.
- Excellent practices in client relationship management.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership of your role through self-accountability and effective communication.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Proficient in Salesforce, AI tools, Excel, Powerpoint, LinkedIn, Slack, G Suite, DocuSign.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
