Short Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Calypso Developer to join our technology team and contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise-grade trading and capital markets solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Calypso platform, hands-on development experience, and a solid understanding of financial markets and trading workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain applications built on the Calypso platform.
- Configure and enhance Calypso modules to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Develop custom workflows, interfaces, APIs, reports, scheduled tasks, and batch processes.
- Integrate Calypso with internal and external systems using Java, messaging frameworks, and web services.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions while ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, project managers, QA teams, and end users throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Optimize application performance and improve system reliability through code enhancements and best development practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and release planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides.
- Support production releases, system upgrades, and platform migrations when required.
Requirement:
- 4–15 years of software development experience with strong expertise in the Calypso platform.
- Hands-on experience in Calypso development, customization, and configuration.
- Strong programming skills in Java and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience developing Calypso workflows, custom modules, adapters, reports, and interfaces.
- Good understanding of financial products including fixed income, derivatives, FX, commodities, or money markets.
- Experience integrating Calypso with external systems using APIs, messaging technologies, or web services.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and version control systems such as Git.
