Short Summary:
Join Blueprint as a Lead Data Center Operations & Systems Technician, where you will lead complex data center operations and infrastructure deployments, ensuring best-in-class service to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform complex installation, rack, stack, cabling, configuration, maintenance, migration, and decommissioning work across servers, network devices, storage systems, and cabling.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for hardware, software, imaging, network, and configuration issues.
- Review server, network, storage, and device health; identify systemic risks and establish response actions.
- Configure and validate network devices and communication protocols.
- Lead server imaging and deployment; oversee patching and deployment readiness.
- Own technical planning for installations and maintenance windows.
- Prioritize and allocate equipment and resources based on operational demands.
- Establish and maintain high-quality technical procedures and documentation.
- Oversee project and inventory tracking accuracy; develop reporting for stakeholders.
- Identify operational trends and lead continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical direction and mentoring for junior technicians.
- Represent data center operations in technical discussions and planning.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations or a comparable technical environment.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise server, network, storage, and cabling activities.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and troubleshooting.
- Experience leading complex deployments and incident response.
- Ability to diagnose escalated issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Experience developing technical procedures and documentation.
- Ability to mentor technicians and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite and meet physical requirements of the data center environment.
