In This Role

This position serves as an HR consulting partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on performance management, employee relations, workplace concerns, HR policies, and related people matters. The consultant will manage and document HR cases, coach managers through complex situations, interpret and apply HR policies consistently, and partner with HR stakeholders on escalations and employee support. The role also provides opportunities to identify trends, improve HR processes, leverage data and technology, and contribute to scalable solutions that improve manager effectiveness and the overall employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR consultation and guidance to managers and employees on performance management, employee relations, workplace behavior, career development, and HR programs.
  • Coach managers through performance-related concerns, employee situations, and complex workplace matters using sound judgment and an objective, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Diagnose and resolve increasingly complex employee relations and policy-related issues, escalating matters to appropriate HR, Legal, or Compliance partners when needed.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies, practices, and programs consistently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
  • Manage and document HR cases in CRM or case-management systems, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete records.
  • Identify recurring employee relations trends and partner with HR stakeholders to develop solutions that address root causes and improve outcomes.
  • Use data and employee insights to identify training, communication, and manager capability needs and recommend targeted solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders on complex employee and workforce matters.
  • Evaluate HR processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and increased efficiency.
  • Contribute to scalable HR solutions that reduce manual work, improve decision-making, and strengthen manager effectiveness.
  • Support HR initiatives, readiness activities, training, communications, and other operational priorities as needed.
  • Maintain impartiality, professionalism, and consistency when handling sensitive employee and workplace matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including experience in HR consulting, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, or a comparable HR advisory function.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting performance management, including advising and coaching managers through performance-related situations.
  • Experience handling employee relations and workplace concerns, including assessing issues, determining appropriate next steps, and escalating when necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, programs, and practices with the ability to interpret and apply policies consistently and objectively.
  • Experience providing direct consultation and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Experience managing HR cases or employee inquiries through a CRM, case-management platform, or similar system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and remain impartial when handling complex employee matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large employee populations or complex, geographically distributed organizations.
  • Experience in the technology industry or another highly dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, HR Operations, or HR Business Partners on complex employee matters.
  • Experience using HR data and insights to identify trends, inform recommendations, or improve workforce outcomes.
  • Experience designing or implementing process automation, workflow improvements, or scalable HR solutions.
  • Familiarity with HR case-management/CRM platforms and HR technology ecosystems.
  • Experience developing or delivering manager training, readiness programs, communications, or capability-building initiatives.
  • Experience working with emerging technologies, automation, or data-driven approaches to modernize HR processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment with competing priorities.
