Short Summary:
Aptos is seeking a founding technical leader for its Payments unit, responsible for building and managing the Aptos Payment API and leading the engineering team.

Responsibilities:
- Spec, ship, and run the Aptos Payment API.
- Act as the technical face of the unit, leading integration with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and stablecoin issuers.
- Develop trust infrastructure for revenue attribution and reconciliation.
- Integrate with the trading stack and define API contracts.
- Hire and lead the first two engineers, making build-vs-buy decisions.
- Publish the Payment API v1 spec and ship the testnet sandbox within the first 90 days.

Requirement:
- 8+ years building payment infrastructure at production scale.
- Hands-on chain-native settlement experience.
- Strong engineering judgment and front-facing gravitas with partners.
- Experience as a founding engineer or owner of a product line from inception to revenue.
