Alpaca is a global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure, serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to design, implement, and maintain systems that empower millions of users in trading.
Responsibilities:
- Design a highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage system.
- Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices and a React-based UI.
- Collaborate with core teams to enhance the framework for multiple languages and markets.
- Troubleshoot incidents and maintain system integrity.
- Support regional recruitment initiatives and mentor talent.
- Act as incident commander during regional business hours.
Requirement:
- Proven software engineering and system architecture experience.
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages.
- Strong communication skills for global collaboration.
- Ability to lead and troubleshoot incidents.
- Experience with event-driven design.
- Ability to work independently in a remote team.
