Short Summary:
As Controller at Alchemy, you'll be responsible for building and leading our end-to-end accounting function, managing a growing team, and transforming complex financial information into clear insights for leadership and investors.

Responsibilities:
- Set the strategy and long-term direction for Alchemy’s accounting function, systems, and team.
- Assume full responsibility for routine financial operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and reporting.
- Own timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimize our core financial technology stack, including NetSuite, Orb, Zip, and Ramp.
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls for financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and preparation.
- Lead relationships with third-party accounting firms and financial service providers.
- Present reporting that provides insight into financial and operational performance.
- Lead technical accounting and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams across Alchemy.
- Develop and scale a high-performing accounting team.

Requirement:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership experience as a Controller or similar role.
- Public accounting experience and in-house operating experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Strong ownership of accounting operations and deep technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience building scalable accounting systems and audit-readiness.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- People leadership experience.
