Senior Livestock Marketing Intelligence & Analytics Manager
The Livestock Marketing Intelligence & Analytics Manager analyzes sales, market share, customer, and marketing data from sources such as CEESA, Animalytix, and Power BI to identify industry trends, evaluate marketing effectiveness, and assess market fluctuations. This role develops strategies and guides analyses that inform pricing, discounts, seasonal promotions, contracting, and other activities designed to optimize net revenue. The manager partners with Livestock Marketing, Sales, Finance, Business Analytics, Customer Operations, Market Research, Net Revenue Management (NRM), and Customer Experience teams to frame ad hoc analyses, test business hypotheses, and deliver data-driven recommendations. The role builds knowledge of key brands and translates functional and market insights into annual strategic priorities and initiative recommendations. It establishes metrics, methodologies, dashboards, and structured leadership reporting to track market programs, net revenue performance, sales optimization, and field-force effectiveness. This colleague identifies opportunities to apply artificial intelligence and helps develop and train AI models that make analysis more accessible to marketing colleagues. Additionally, this role manages market research projects, ensures timely delivery of actionable insights, and prepares, validates, and consolidates data for external regulatory reporting submissions.
Position Responsibilities
- Analyzes sales data (CEESA, Animalytix, Power BI, ETC) to identify industry trends in product development and relationships, and to assess the effectiveness of marketing plans and programs.
- Leverages market share data to support livestock marketing managers in strategic decisions and the evaluation of market fluctuations.
- Identify and train on developing AI models to make analysis easier for marketing colleagues.
- Develop strategy and help guide analyses to drive pricing and promotion activities for Livestock BU.
- Activities include list pricing, discounts, seasonal promotions and contracting.
- Develop an understanding of key brands to inform annual strategic priorities.
- Frame and support ad-hoc analyses and provide Livestock BU with data-driven recommendations to help leadership make informed decisions.
- Ability to obtain buy-in from marketing leadership team on executable tactics if strategy updates are recommended
- Ideate and shape novel opportunities and approaches to optimize net revenue.
- Partner with marketing teams to brainstorm and pitch opportunities to NRM.
- Provide strategic direction to NRM Analyst to shape hypotheses and analyses to test and prove concepts.
- Leverage analyses and functional input to influence BU prioritization of initiatives.
- Ensure reliable tracking and reporting of marketing programs and initiatives.
- Identify metrics and shape methodology to track BU net revenue performance.
- Develop and deliver structured updates to appropriate BU marketing and sales leadership teams.
- Identify areas of opportunity and recommend actionable levers to the BU.
- Develop new dashboards and self-serve capabilities that proactively enable marketing and the field force, and position data to leaders for sales optimization and performance management.
- Partner with marketing managers to manage market research projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery of actionable insights.
- Prepare, validate, and consolidate data for external regulatory reporting submissions.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's in finance, business, economics, math, engineering, computer science or equivalent is required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Experience in lieu of education requirement may be considered.
- 7-10 years working in commercial functions (sales, marketing, brand management) or in commercial function support role

Preferred
- Formal project management or process improvement experience
- Knowledge of animal health and /or ag-marketing
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI
- Knowledge of CEESA
- SAP Experience
