As a leader within a growing small business, the SPM is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, combining exceptional program management skills with a strong understanding of aviation sustainment, logistics, MRO, and PBL methodologies. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping shape innovative sustainment strategies while driving profitable program execution and long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  3. Serve as the primary interface with customer program offices, contracting officers, and key stakeholders.
  4. Develop trusted customer relationships that strengthen long-term partnerships and support future growth.
  5. Represent the company during customer meetings, executive reviews, industry events, and technical working groups.
  6. Advise customers on advanced sustainment strategies, PBL methodologies, readiness improvement initiatives, and sustainment optimization best practices.
  7. Collaborate with customers to develop measurable performance metrics, Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and contract structures that align with mission objectives.
  8. Support recruiting and staffing plans, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and mission focus across the program team.
  9. Identify opportunities for contract growth, follow-on work, and new business within existing customer relationships.
  10. Support proposal development (technical volumes, staffing plans, past performance narratives) for recompetes and new pursuits.
  11. Provide market intelligence and competitive insight to company leadership.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree).
  2. 10+ years of progressive program/project management experience, with at least 5 years supporting DoW sustainment, logistics, or MRO contracts.
  3. Demonstrated experience managing contracts of similar size, type (FFP, CPFF, T&M), and complexity.
  4. Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EVM principles, and the DoW acquisition lifecycle.

  4. Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
