This paid internship will support the mass market delivery and channel management team responsible for the marketing and management of programs promoting energy efficiency and beneficial electrification to customers and trade. You will work with internal teams and have introductory level exposure to our vendors and trade. One opportunity will support the programs that provide incentives to customers and trade to take actions to change their energy use. The other role will work to support the trade and community channels that are leveraged to deliver these programs.
Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Support the analysis, planning and implementation for marketing campaigns, webinars and trainings.
- Track program and event participation, budgets and spend. Support forecasting activities.
- Assist with web updates, data maintenance for programs and trade, and updating applications and collateral.
- Participate in preparing information for the monthly close and reporting processes.
- Help resolve customer and trade service issues.
This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in products and services that support the transition to clean energy.
- 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Enjoys working in a team environment but can be responsible as an individual contributor
