Short Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Wikidata / Wikipedia consultant with proven expertise in creating and editing company pages in compliance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with Wikidata and Wikipedia editing, particularly for companies and organizations.- Strong understanding of Wikipedia's notability requirements and sourcing policies.- Knowledge of paid editing disclosure requirements and experience working within Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidelines.- Ability to write in a neutral, encyclopedic tone without promotional language.- Good understanding of Wikidata structure, including properties, items, statements, and entity relationships, to correctly build and maintain a company record.- Review available third-party publications and assess whether they meet Wikipedia/Wikidata requirements.- Create or update the company's Wikidata item using the appropriate properties and references.- Ensure all information complies with Wikipedia and Wikidata policies.- Advise on whether the company currently meets notability requirements and recommend any improvements if necessary.
Requirement:
- Portfolio with relevant Wikidata/Wikipedia projects.- Demonstrated knowledge of Wikipedia policies and editorial standards.- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with structured data.- Experience with corporate profiles is highly preferred.- Required languages: English C1 - Advanced, Ukrainian C1 - Advanced.
