Short Summary:
The Head of Finance owns the company's finance and accounting function, focusing on accurate reporting, disciplined budgeting, and financial control across a physical, asset-heavy business.

Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting: Own the preparation and accuracy of the P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet.
- Inventory and fleet accounting: Manage how inventory and fixed assets are recorded in financial statements.
- Budgeting and financial model: Maintain the company's financial model and build annual and quarterly budgets.
- Financial control: Build the financial control function including approval procedures and spend controls.
- Team and external partners: Manage in-house accountants and outsourced accounting firms.
- Compliance and operations: Oversee payroll, tax registrations, statutory reporting, and audit readiness.
- Cross-functional Work: Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and product teams on financial implications of projects.

Requirement:
- 7+ years in accounting and finance, including experience owning a full monthly close.
- Experience in the US market and with inventory and fixed asset accounting.
- Multi-state payroll and tax compliance experience.
- Experience managing accounting staff and outsourced providers.
- Strong systems skills, including accounting system implementation or migration.
