Senior Enterprise Web Consultant & Manager (German required, part-time 15-30h)

Location: Remote (Hybrid for candidates close to Zürich)

About what. AG

• We're a Zurich-based digital consultancy with 40+ ambitious, kind specialists. We build websites, digital products and growth strategies powered by data and AI, for clients from innovative startups to global brands. Learn more at what.digital.

• The role: You turn a client’s goals into a clear plan and bring the right people together to deliver it. You have expert knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress and Payload, along with a strong understanding of UX, marketing and analytics. This role starts at 15–30 hours per week. As the work grows, there is scope to increase your hours, move into a full-time position or take on team leadership.

• How we work: You own your growth, and we give you the space to work on yourself. We deliver first-class help to our clients, from start to finish. We focus on real results, not just activity. And we think like entrepreneurs: when we build for clients, everyone wins - our clients, what. and you.

What you'll do:

• Lead large website projects with application logic from discovery and scoping through design, development, launch and follow-up.

• Be the main point of contact for clients. Keep decisions moving, expectations clear and relationships strong.

• Coordinate designers, developers, marketers and analytics specialists so their work fits together.

• Advise clients and the team on CMS (e.g. Wordpress and Payload), including platform capabilities, content architecture and practical implementation choices.

• Turn business goals and user needs into clear briefs, priorities, timelines and deliverables.

• Manage budgets, scope and risks. Raise issues early and work with the team and client to resolve them.

• Oversee testing and launch, then use analytics and client feedback to identify improvements.

Key & Essential Skills:

• A proven record of personally managing and launching web projects with budgets of €20,000–€30,000 or more. Experience with €50,000–€100,000 projects is a strong advantage.

• Proven ability to own projects end to end with minimal supervision. You set priorities, make sound decisions and coordinate clients and cross-functional teams without waiting to be directed.

• Strong control of scope, budgets and timelines. You identify risks early, manage change requests and offer solutions before issues affect delivery.

• Expert knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress and Payload, backed by hands-on experience delivering projects with them. You can make informed platform decisions and challenge technical recommendations when needed.

• Strong knowledge of UX, digital marketing and analytics, and the ability to apply them throughout a project.

• A track record of exceeding client expectations through clear communication, rigorous quality checks and recommendations that improve the outcome.

• Fluent professional German and strong English communication skills. You can explain technical decisions clearly to people without a technical background.

• Agency or digital consultancy experience managing multiple projects with different scopes and timelines is preferred.

What makes you a fit:

• You take ownership and follow through, from the first conversation to a successful launch.

• You bring structure to complex projects without slowing the team down.

• You ask good questions, challenge assumptions and give clients honest advice.

• You care about the result after launch, including usability, performance and measurable business impact.

• You’re interested in growing your role over time, whether through larger projects, more hours or leading a team.

This is a role for someone who has delivered complex digital projects and knows what it takes to get them live. You bring high standards to the work, build systems that make delivery more reliable, and spot problems before they become expensive. You’re comfortable making decisions, giving direct feedback and improving the way the team works. We measure success by the quality of what we launch and the value it creates for our clients.

Perks:

• Beautiful office in Seefeld, Zurich for candidates working in a hybrid setting

• You'll have real responsibility and influence - and a team that has your back. If you see something that could be improved, speak up - we're listening.

• Flexible hours and a flat hierarchy - we're results-oriented and don't micromanage.

• A multicultural team that learns together, including daily hands-on work with AI tools like Claude.

• Fair compensation and profit participation.

• Personal development opportunities, e.g. in 2026 we sent 10 people to Tony Robbins' UPW event.

How to Apply:

• Apply via our website with your CV and a 2-3 min intro video in German (e.g. Loom or YouTube): tell us what attracted you to this role and share an example where you helped a client grow or improved something at work.

• 👉 Applications without a video or sent via other channels (e.g. email or social media) won't be considered.
