About us:

How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal.

And we’re just getting started.

We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter.

To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.

About the team

You’ll be joining the Speaker Operations team, who are responsible for improving the efficiency, consistency and scalability of the Speaker team’s operations.

You’ll work closely with the Speakers team and wider operational stakeholders to understand how work is currently being delivered, identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements that make the team more effective.

You’ll focus on process optimisation, systems, reporting, operational governance and ways of working, helping to reduce manual effort, minimise operational risk and give leadership clear visibility into team performance, workload, priorities and ownership.

What you'll achieve at Web Summit
  • You’ll learn how to analyse and improve business processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks and opportunities to make ways of working more scalable.

  • You’ll develop strong operational and project management skills, taking ownership of processes and workstreams from start to finish.

  • You’ll gain hands-on experience designing, implementing and embedding new ways of working across a team.

  • You’ll build confidence working with systems, tools and data, including improving how information is captured, managed and used.

  • You’ll develop the ability to create clear reporting, dashboards and performance insights that support better decision-making.

  • You’ll learn how to identify patterns, bottlenecks and risks through data analysis and operational reporting.

  • You’ll build experience working cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders.

  • You’ll develop strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • You’ll gain experience in change management, helping teams adopt new processes, systems and ways of working.

  • You’ll develop the ability to think beyond day-to-day tasks and contribute to long-term operational improvement and scalability.

  • You’re proactive and naturally look for ways to make processes simpler, more efficient and more effective.

  • You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and can stay focused and organised when things move quickly.

  • You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools and operational systems.

  • You’re able to work with data and turn information into clear, useful operational insights.

  • You have a strong ability to understand complex processes, identify inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements.

  • You have strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines.

  • You have clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
